Top Ten ways to enliven
and expand your creativity
:

1. Trust whatever comes through you, without attachment or judgment. Judgment kills creativity faster than anything else. I find my highest creativity happens when I honor the process over the results.

2. When you really give yourself over to the creative process, there is a space of being very intensely connected to the moment. This timeless, quiet-mind place honors creativity and can be cultivated with awareness.

3. Invite your creativity to show up as if you are inviting it over for tea- carve out room for it in your life, let it know it is important enough to give it priority.

4. Believe in yourself. Believe in your Soul’s inalienable right to express itself as you.

5. Cultivate the belief that the world truly is a better place because you express your uniqueness through your creativity.

6. Give yourself permission to feel the contracted places in your mind and body that rebel against freely expressing your creativity. Draw, write, dance, move those places in your body/mind and really listen to what they have to say. Dialog with those parts if they are willing. The insights that come can free up more energy to create with.

7. Give up needing to do it right and comparing your work to others.

8. Get into the mind frame of being a kid. All kids innately know that they can sing and dance or paint. Encourage your inner kid to come and show you their uninhibited artist self.

9. Invite a friend to come over and play/create with you. Sometimes just having someone near who is also committed to cultivating their creativity can be very supportive of getting the juices flowing.

10. Live your life as if IT is your Art.
